Da Giorgio restaurant Rovinj

Not only is the food delicious and beautifully served, but the staff (especially the owner) were so friendly, welcoming and warm, bringing a smile to your face from the first conversation with them. Definitely a place to recommend! And to the owner and staff: Keep up the good work and we'll be coming back for sure!

We arrived without a reservation, but the waiter greeted us warmly and quickly found us a table. I enjoyed the black risotto, while my companion had the seafood pasta—both dishes were absolutely delicious.

Visited Rovinj last weekend and this restaurant quickly became the go-to. Reasonably priced, delicious and fresh food at a great spot in town with fantastic service as well. 10/10 - will definitely return again :)

Stopped here shortly after arriving in Rovinj after walking 20k+ steps in Brijuni so I needed food. The restaurant was easy to find—right off the main walkway—and I was seated quickly. Since I visited in early May (off-season), there was no wait. Service was fast, and I admittedly threw the server for a loop by asking for a recommendation. After a long day, I wanted to make zero decisions and just enjoy something traditional to Istria. I ended up with their bread, a glass of local red wine, and the truffle pasta. The bread was not quite what I expected—not a flatbread, not a roll, and not your typical sliced loaf. It resembled a very thin focaccia—lightly salted, with a subtle garlic flavor (maybe garlic powder?). Either way, it was flavorful and perfect for dipping in their olive oil. The red wine paired beautifully with the pasta, which was honestly the star. Truffle pasta isn’t something I usually order, but this one won me over. What I loved most was that it wasn’t drowned in sauce like you’d typically get in the U.S. The light touch really let the truffle flavor shine. It was rich without being heavy, which left just enough room for gelato afterward. I was initially hesitant because Da Giorgio didn’t have as many reviews as other places, and the ones it had were almost all 5 stars—which can be a red flag. But honestly, no complaints here. Especially catching the sunset from the restaurant—it made for a pretty magical night as a solo traveler. 10/10 would recommend

We had dinner at Da Giorgio twice during our stay at Rovinj. The food is excellent, calamari is first-class ;) The atmosphere is one of the best we have experienced in the city and the staff is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Food (taste and selection), service, price, and location are top-notch! The food is more affordable compared to the places lined up in the very center.. The service is led by the owner who welcomes guests with a smile and a fair approach especially when it gets crowded. He remembers who arrived when..The food is incredibly delicious, we came both for lunch and dinner. Highly recommended!!

We went in 4 times in 3 days. Enough said, right? We visited other places in Rovinj and while they are good(-ish) as well, Da Giorgio stands out by far. Everything is delicious and very reasonably price. Today is our last day and guess where we are going for dinner? Yep, that’s right - we go to the best restaurant in Rovinj :)
